Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about getting content removed.

Everything you need to know about how we work, what we charge, and what happens when an infringer doesn't cooperate. Still unsure? Email team@team.dmca.law.

Yes. Our core per-takedown pricing is success-based — you're billed only when the infringing content is actually taken down. If we can't get it removed, you don't pay for that takedown. Volume and monitoring engagements are scoped individually, and we always agree the terms with you upfront.
Per-takedown pricing starts at $4.99 and scales with complexity and platform. A straightforward removal on a cooperative platform sits at the low end; cases that require host hunting, registrar escalation, search delisting or counter-notice handling cost more because they take more work. You always get a clear quote before we proceed. See the pricing page for details.
It's exactly what it sounds like: send us one eligible infringing link along with proof the work is yours, and we'll execute a complete takedown for free. No card, no commitment. It's the easiest way to see our execution before you pay for anything. Email team@team.dmca.law to claim it.
This is one of our specialties. When a previous notice was ignored, bounced, or rejected, it usually means it reached the wrong party, lacked the right evidence, or was never followed up. We start fresh: re-verify the rights, rebuild the evidence, identify who can actually remove the content, and escalate relentlessly. Bring us your stuck cases.
We specialize in three verticals: video (film & TV), image & photography, and audio & music. That covers pirated films and episodes, illegal streams, re-uploads, stolen photos and artwork, stock imagery, music, beats, samples, podcasts and audiobooks.
We escalate. Our ladder runs through hosting-provider and CDN complaints, domain registrar complaints, search-engine delisting, counter-notice handling, cease & desist letters, and — where a matter requires it — further legal action and litigation referral through our independent legal partners. Escalation is included in our standard service; we don't stop at "sent."
Fully. If the other side files a counter-notice or otherwise pushes back, we manage the entire process on your behalf and advise on the best response. You won't be left to navigate it alone.
Yes, on request. For clients with large catalogs or persistent repeat infringers, we can set up continuous web monitoring and take action on new infringements as they appear. Ask us about a monitoring engagement scoped to your catalog.
We have proven experience across YouTube, Google Search, Instagram, TikTok, Cloudflare, web hosting providers and domain registrars, among many others. Because we target the host, CDN and registrar layers — not just the visible page — we can act even when the front-end platform is uncooperative or the content is hidden behind a proxy.
It depends on the platform and how cooperative the recipient is. Many removals happen within days; cooperative platforms can be faster, and cases that require multiple rounds of escalation take longer. Whatever the timeline, we stay on it until it's resolved — and for time-sensitive matters like live streams, we move with urgency.
No. DMCA.law is a trade name of MM One Legal Services LLC and is a professional takedown service — not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice or legal representation, and using our service does not create an attorney–client relationship. When a matter requires legal representation or litigation, we coordinate with independent legal partners.
Yes. We handle takedowns under the US DMCA and equivalent European copyright takedown procedures, and we pursue infringing content wherever it's hosted and wherever it surfaces in search.
Two things: proof the work is yours (the original file, a link to it, or registration/publication details) and the infringing URLs. A short email is enough — there are no complicated forms. For bulk work, just send a list. See the process page for the full breakdown.
All kinds of rights holders — independent filmmakers and studios, photographers and stock agencies, musicians, producers and labels, podcasters and publishers, course creators, and agencies acting on behalf of their clients. Whether it's a single link or an entire catalog, we treat it with the same care.
We treat your case details and the materials you share as confidential and use them only to pursue your takedowns. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail on how we handle your information.
